About New England Barnwood

As a husband and wife team working side by side since 2014 we are passionate about creating our brand of Rustic Home Décor, be it Farmhouse Home Décor, Rustic Modern Decor, Antique and Vintage Style Decor, Shabby Chic or French Country Home Décor, we have an admiration for it all.

There’s something special about a handcrafted piece, we see it as an extension of your personality, that’s why we design and create rustic and vintage style home décor that will become meaningful and conversation pieces in your home.

All of our original items and reproductions are made of 100% solid wood to last a lifetime. We take pride in providing you with quality primitive style and rustic modern country home décor.
The wood colors and grain character cannot be duplicated using dimensional lumber and the shape of the knots and weathering all add to the unique look.

We know that decorating a home is more than just hanging a picture on a wall. Every little thing from the color of paint all the way down to the rug in your entryway says everything about who you are, it's what makes your house a home.
Primitive furniture, also commonly called Early American Furniture, refers to handmade home furnishings from before the day of mass production.
Most of these pieces were built by farmers between the mid-1700s and early 1800s, who were able to supplement their incomes during the winter months by building anything their farm and neighbors would need.
These farmers were somewhat behind the times in their style, and were much more conservative, concerned with more functionality than style.
Their furnishings were generally made from local woods like pine, birch or oak and tended to be left natural or painted instead of polished. Around 1830, hand-made furniture became less popular thanks to affordable, mass-produced furniture.
You want your home to be welcoming, attractive, and enjoyable and reflect your unique personality. Our goal is to help give you great ideas for your home with our selection of rustic farmhouse and country home furnishings and accessories.
We hope you enjoy surrounding yourself with these cherished pieces as much as we love making them.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our shop. We hope you find something you love!
